If you’ve ever walked into a big commercial gym, you know the feeling: rows of machines, people wearing headphones, everyone doing their own thing. Maybe someone shows you around for a few minutes, hands you a key tag, and then… you’re on your own.
That’s not how things work at VIGOR.
From the moment you walk through our doors, you’ll notice a difference in our space, and how we approach fitness, coaching, and community.
It Starts with a Real Conversation
Before you ever step onto the gym floor, you’ll sit down with one of our coaches for a short, friendly intro session. This isn’t a sales pitch or a quick membership sign-up, it’s truly a conversation. We take the time to get to know you. We want to hear about your goals, your health history, what kind of exercise you’ve enjoyed in the past (and what you haven’t), and what brought you to us in the first place.
This conversation helps us build a plan that makes sense for your body, your schedule, and your life. Whether you’re looking to get stronger, have more energy for your kids, move better, or just feel more confident, we start by listening, and then we coach you toward that goal.
You’ll Be Coached, Not Left to Figure It Out
At VIGOR, we don’t hand you a program and send you off to figure out what the machines do. Every person who trains with us begins with a series of introductory personal training sessions. In these sessions, you’ll learn how to move well, how to lift safely, and how to build strength that translates to real life.
You’ll gain confidence with the basic movements: pushing, pulling, squatting, hinging, lunging, rotating, and carrying — the things your body needs to do well to thrive.
After that, you have options. You can keep working one-on-one with your coach, train in a small semi-private group (two to six people), or move into our group classes. Our classes are capped at just twelve people, so you’ll never feel lost in a crowd. A coach will always be there to guide you, watch your form, and adjust your workout so it fits your needs and your current fitness level.
Real Equipment, Real Results
When you look around our gym, you’ll notice there aren’t many machines. You might hop on a SkiErg, bike, or rower during a workout, but you won’t find long rows of equipment that isolate one muscle group or require a dozen pin adjustments.
Instead, you’ll find free weights, kettlebells, barbells, and open space to move. You’ll squat, lift, press, and carry things the way your body was designed to move. And you’ll have a coach right there to teach you how to do it safely and effectively.
Our workouts are written on the board each day, but they’re never random. The programming at VIGOR is systematic and progressive, meaning every week builds on the last. Over time, you’ll move better, feel stronger, and notice how your energy and confidence spill over into other parts of your life.
Progress at Your Own Pace
Time is always a factor when it comes to progress; the more consistently you train, the faster you’ll see results. But even if you can only make it in twice a week, you’ll still get stronger and feel better. Every class is designed to meet you where you are and move you forward from there.
You’ll Be Known Here
At VIGOR, you won’t be a nameless, faceless person swiping in and out. The coach will know your name. The people you train with will know your name. They might even know that your daughter just started college, or that you went hiking last weekend. This sense of connection and belonging is what keeps people coming back — not because they have to work out, but because they want to.
You’ll be part of a community that celebrates your wins, supports you through challenges, and helps you show up for yourself week after week.
At VIGOR, you won’t just join a gym. You’ll join a team of coaches and members who care about your progress, your health, and your happiness, both inside and outside the gym.
This isn’t fitness for show. It’s fitness for life.
