Thinking about getting stronger, feeling better, and having more energy—but not sure whether you should start with group fitness or personal training?
We’ve got you.
The truth is, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The best choice is the one that makes you feel most comfortable and supported. Some people thrive on the energy of a group, while others prefer the focus and privacy of one-on-one coaching.
Here’s a closer look at both options we offer at VIGOR, so you can figure out what’s the best fit for your life right now.
Personal Training: One-on-One Coaching That’s All About You
If you’re looking to move efficiently toward your goals with a plan that’s built just for you, personal training is an excellent choice.
At VIGOR, our personal training starts with a conversation about you:
- What’s your current fitness level and history?
- What’s worked for you in the past (and what hasn’t)?
- What’s your schedule like?
- Do you have any limitations or injuries we should know about?
Whether you’re managing shoulder pain, juggling a hectic work/kid schedule, or aiming to deadlift for the first time in your life—we meet you where you’re at.
You’ll work with a coach who’s 100% focused on your form, your progress, and your goals. That means real-time feedback, consistent encouragement, and a training plan that evolves as you do. This is also a great fit if you’re easing back into movement after time off, injury, or if you just want to feel a little more confident before jumping into group classes.
Personal training is flexible—sessions are booked around your life—and while it’s a higher investment, the focused attention and faster progress make it worth every penny.
Group Classes: Built-In Energy and Accountability
Group training at VIGOR is where coaching meets community. If you like a little social buzz, thrive with a consistent schedule, and love knowing others are sweating alongside you, this might be your sweet spot.
Our coaches lead small group classes designed to build real-world strength and cardio capacity. Everyone does a version of the same workout, but we’ll scale or modify movements based on your needs. Dealing with a cranky knee? We’ll adjust. Never touched a barbell? No problem. You’ll still get personalized coaching in every session—we just share that attention among a few others.
Group training helps you build momentum through structure and routine, and it’s often easier to stick with because of the community vibe. It also comes at a lower price point, making it more accessible for many people.
And yes, you can still hit your goals in a group setting. We’ve got members who’ve built strength, boosted energy, and improved their day-to-day confidence—just by showing up consistently.
Not Sure What You Need? Let’s Talk.
At VIGOR, we always start with a free No-Sweat Intro. It’s a casual, no-pressure conversation where we learn more about you—your goals, your schedule, your past experiences—and then map out the best plan for where you’re at right now.
We’ll walk you through the options, answer your questions, and recommend a path forward that fits your life.
Whether it’s one-on-one coaching, group classes, or a combination of both, we’ll help you get stronger, healthier, and more confident—inside and outside the gym.
